This proposal involves the installation of light, inexpensive telemonitoring stations beside existing and potential environmental hazards. Information received from the stations, transmitted in real-time to an Internet site, and is availbale to the public at no cost. In case of a real alarm, in which the data received exceeds reasonable standards and regulations, an alarm will be transmitted electroniclly to the beepers of individuals authorized to immediately deal with the situation.
